Claramand Looking Good at Fendrove "Franny"
(Great Escape Watch Me Out Of Claramand (Fin imp) X Claramand Miss-B-Having JW)
A real favourite with the judges. She has that air of importance about her as she struts around the ring - she knows how great she looks. She has her stud book number and many wins to her credit. Including a 2nd place in a huge class at Crufts 2004 where she remained cool and collected on the table when all the press arrived as Prince Michael of Kent was introduced to the breed judge - a true professional!
When a friend came to see me desperately sad because she had recently lost her old Golden Retriever, Franny was herself in need of a little TLC, and so it was that she went to live with Nicky and her young family. Franny has never looked back. She settled immediately into her new home and has brought much happiness to Nicky, her husband and their children. In return, she is loved to bits! The children love to take her for walks and she is truly a very happy family dog.
Sadly I learned of the loss of dear little Franny after a short illness just at the time when her grandaughter Betty (Fendrove Gold Digga) had herself just delivered a litter of ten beautiful golden puppies. Two of these puppies have been retained a boy Sunny (Fendrove Oh Boy and a girl Dotty (Fendrove Reet Petite) . We hope that in time they will become succesful show dogs just like their great grandam ,so Franny's legacy lives on - bless her.
